2008/12/11  2009 Spring Semester Registration  (2)
2008/12/03  Final weeks through college  (2)
2008/08/28  First week through University  (6)
So, today was the registration for 2009 Spring Semester for us, freshmens. I got the very last time which was 2pm of 2008, December 10th. Although i panicked and freaked out a bit, I am glad I was able to get all the classes that I planned to sign up for.

It was right after the last class of Japanese, so I hurried my brother to take me home to my laptop where I could register. As soon as i got to my computer, I soon found out that my computer was trying to work on its windows update. So w/o a choice, i ran downstairs onto my brother's computer. There were couple of episodes where i pressed on a different link and could have missed the time of registration. But I was able to get back to the add course screen by 1:59. So after plugging in all my classes, i pressed a button, but since there were all the other freshmens trying to sign up for classes, there were huge lags that was caused by heavy burden on the UH servers. So after about 20 minutes which was around 2:20-ish, i was able to find my next semester schedules up online.

So this next semester, I applied for 15 credits. And the classes consists of Chemistry 161, Chemistry 161 Lab, Japanese 102, Math 421, and Hawaiian Studies. Chemistry, Japanese and Math, they all have 4 credits respectively and Hawaiian studies w/ 3 credits. I'm hoping that this isn't a too much of a burden for me as i'm still a freshmen getting to know the whole college system and whatnot.

Hopefully my schedule wouldn't interfere with my working schedule, so i need to look out for that in the future sign ups. I hear lots of fellow students not getting their classes, but I can ensure you that there still are possibilities that you guys can override into the class as long as you get a contact with the professors and show up on the first day of the class in session. Tell professor that you would like to apply or override into the class, and they will tell you guys the next step to take.

Now that my classes are settled, i'm looking forward for my student career development advising. After taking survey, it pretty much tells you what your strength is and possible career or major. For full time students, it has the minimum pay of 20 dollars and i highly recommend to those who have not yet decided on their major or trying to find something else that you are more interested in.

So this is all for my entry :] good luck with you all on your finals.

It's already been through a whole semester of college. Whether I have done well or not, it has come to the final week. Oh noes; the Finals. The classes that i thought would've been a cruise class, didn't really end up being the class of my thought and became ones that i struggle in.

Like in psychology, although it is pretty interesting, and easy to get through, i've noticed that once you fall behind, it'ss really hard to catch up. Chapters maybe a bit long, but as long as you follow up with daily readings, I believe it's much do-able. It's because of this class of which i could've finished and concentrate more on other classes, is holding me back at the moment.

Math. I highly recommend going to lecture classes. Although at first, everything seem a bit easy and not worth awhile, never judge too early. Through whole 4 mid-term exams, I was managed to do well on the first two. However, after not studying and being unattentive through 2nd half of the semester, failed to manage to get higher than a C - D grade. Uh-oh.. Hopefully it is still manageable to bring up my semester grade through Final Testings.

Japanese. Thanks to my teacher, it has been a pretty cruise class. Although i still haven't gotten down -Te and -Ta forms and such, her grading systems are awesome. I have oral/oral final/final exams coming up. This should be pretty interesting if not a cruise. Therefore, i'll continue to be in next following levels of japanese classes.

English. I haven't really gotten A's in any of my essays or assignments, but i would say her grading systems are pretty easy. Well if you are one of those people who are just dying to get an A, it may be a little bit harsh, but if you can settle for a B or anything lower than that, it's pretty awesome i should say. She jokes alot in class, so i think it was not too bad of a class to be in.

Overall, like any other classes, if you do your daily studyings, it's going to be a pretty cruise classes and if not, a failure on your forehead. Now it's time for me to go to school :] and.. also come up with schedules for the next semester. see you through my next entry!

Here we go again, with the most randomest blog entries that I can ever think of. So this time, its about my new school :] University of Hawaii @ Manoa Campus. I often call it 'Harvard of Hawaii' just to make myself feel better for the fact that this is the only place I applied [how stupid].

Well, so! let's start up this blog! :]. Alright.. so I'm an Electrical Engineering Major, and planning on Japanese Minor. As I've written in my earlier blog entry, [http://blog.netwy.net/tc/entry/University-of-Hawaii-NSO-New-Student-Orientation] I'm not that interested in my major (did I even write this?). As far as I know, electrical engineering is one of the hardest major in ALL UNIVERSITIES. And guess what :]?! I was a fool to be the one to take it ^-^. Smart? or not so smart.

Then, it goes to my minor :], Japanese. It sure sounds good. I mean, isn't it? Being able to speak other languages and hopefully next time you visit that country, you don't have to be depended on either your friends or your guide! But guess what? My professor can't speak english. This is "THE SHITTIEST FEELING" that I've gotten this entire year. As I was hoping that I wouldn't regret my choice, I had already hit the ground on my very first day in UH(University of Hawaii).

Let's not forget about Math class. It's in a BIG lecture room with a huge black boards and 2 projector screens :] how sweet! even better, with a professor who looks like a turtle :]. I just had to take five in order to ROFL at myself for not being able to make into Calculus (and having to be stuck with him). My assistant teacher wasn't so bad though. He was kind of like DR. IDA, (former math teacher) but with more hair and little confusion with his sexuality. Other than that, he was great.

OMG! Psychology. One of the classes that I was eager to take! :]. However, I came to realize that our classes are cancelled until our 3rd week. I learned it the hard ways though. I sat in an empty class with fellow students who were lost with me. For about 10 minutes, we sat there and talked, waiting for our teacher. And whether it's a He or She, didn't show up. As impatient as I could be, I was the first one to walk out of that class (didn't have anyone that I was interested in :]).

Well, these are all my classes with short details for each :]. I'm still trying to get used to this whole university thing, but as far as I've been through, there's really no difference with high school. College just have more time to manage, and I guess one needs to be able to learn how to keep it organized. And until we are notified of Midterms and Finals, we are pretty much free-souls :]. I will continue to write whatever comes on the way and keep you guys informed.

ROCK ON KIDS! :]
